Spectacular assembly and show of Pensioners in the Demonstration held in the State Capital Chennai !

           The Finance Act 2025,  passed in the Parliament    has been notified in the Gazette. Fear has gripped the Pensioners community as a whole over the authoritarian powers usurped by the Government through the Act in deciding the pension revision after every Pay Commission.

        In the backdrop of the threatening future of the Pensioners who are under CCS (Pension) Rules, NCCPA has rightly called upon Nationwide Protest Demonstration today (3.4.2025). The Demonstration had evoked tremendous response from pensioners across the Country beyond organization barriers. In Tamilnadu too, the Demonstration spearheaded by NCCPA was powerful in all Districts with massive participation.

           In Chennai also, the Demonstration near Collector's office / Custom House on 3.4.2025 witnessed an unprecedented participation of *Pensioners numbering more than 500 belonging to various Independent Pensioners Associations* besides the affiliates of NCCPA.

            Com P. Mohan, State President, NCCPA presided over the Demonstration. Com C.K. Narasimhan, State Convenor, NCCPA delivered the Welcome Address.

The demonstration lasted for nearly two hours and the participants attended the Demonstration till its conclusion.

A Declaration was adopted unanimously in the Demonstration urging the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India to withdraw the controversial clauses in the Finance Act 2025 which deny parity in pension in the implementation of accepted recommendations of Pay Commission.
